Frequent Ask Questions

Q: What kind of products do you use on your clients?


A:  we pride ourselves on using professional grade products . Some brands we love  include  Bobbi Brown  ,  MAC , Becca, Armani, YSL, Make Up For Ever, Tarte, Laura Mercier, Kevyn Aucoin, NARS, Anastasia Beverly Hills. We are always  on the look out for new products that work for our clients.


Q: How do I secure your service and how early should I book?


A:  An appointment/session is booked when we have receive a deposit. Most our clients book at least 1-2 weeks ahead of time for special event makeup and as early as a year for bridal makeup. We encourage our brides to book a trial about 3-4 months in advance.

Q: When do I pay the full amount for my services?


A:  Full payment is accepted at any time before the wedding/event date.  Payment must be received in full before the start of service. if you chose to make final payment before your event date, that is fine!


Q:  What forms of payment are accepted?


A:   We currently accept: CASH APP, Cash, PayPal (client is responsible for the fee), Checks and Major Credit Cards via Square
(3.5% surcharge applied for Square payments, client is responsible for the fee )

Q: Do you travel to me for makeup services? 


A:  Yes, we gladly provide on-location service for wedding day and event (travel fee applies). Please inquire for more information on our traveling policy and out-of-county or destination services.

Q:  Is there a minimum requirement of services for you to travel? 


A: We do not require a minimum.

Q: Will you stay at my event for makeup touch ups? 


A: If you prefer to have us stay for touch ups after your appointment then please indicate so when you book the appointment. This service is an additional  $25/hr.

Q: If I'm not booking touch-up services, how should I touch up my makeup on my wedding day/event day?


A: We  do provide touch up kits which cost $35, the kit includes a full size lipstick.  We also strongly suggest that your partner have a handkerchief  with them in case they get lipstick on them. Our bridal makeup application technique also ensure that your makeup last. 

Q:  Do I need to do a trial?  why do I need one?


A:  We highly encourage you to book a bridal trial for your wedding makeup. This a great opportunity for the bride to assess your skin and together with the Makeup Artist, you both would come up with a bridal look that best enhance your features. For a better preview of your wedding day look we suggest that you book your hair and makeup trial on the same day.

 


Q:  When should I do the trial?


A: Our recommendation is that you book your bridal makeup trial after you have picked out your wedding gown. if you have decided on a hairstyle too then even better. it is a great idea to schedule a night out or wedding potshoot on the same day so that you get a good wear out go your makeup :)

Q: How long does the Bridal Trial take?


A:  The bridal trial sessions takes anywhere between 90 minutes to 2 hours.
The bridal trial  includes a consultation, skin assessment, makeup recommendations. You also get a full face makeup with foundation, highlight & contour, eyebrow shaping, eye makeup, false lashes, and lip color. Give yourself enough time.

Q: What happens at the trial session?


A:  We ask that you bring inspiration pictures to share with us. During the bridal trial, we will do a consultation on your skin and makeup. You will get to try on full Bridal Makeup. We will spend the time to make little adjustments or try different things to ensure that you will be at your best on your special day. We recommend bringing your veil and any other accessories to try on. We also suggest wearing a white tank or tube top that has a similar neckline to your wedding gown.

Q: What do I need to do to prepare for the Trial Session/Engagement Session?


A:   Please bring photos of inspired looks, or send them ahead of time. if you decide to leave it up to me  then please tell me a little about your personality, send me some pictures of your face without makeup and some with your favorite makeup on. 

please come with a clean face, exfoliate the day before or day of (if you don't have sensitive skin).

you are also welcome to bring your makeup products. if you are allergic to any products please let us know at least a week before your trial appointment so that we can accommodate you. it would be a great idea to bring your veil and accessories , maybe pictures of your wedding gown too for reference. if you have a robe please bring it or wear a button up shirt. please also have your eyebrows groomed prior to your appointment.

 
Q: What is included in the Bridal Makeup?


A:  The Bridal Makeup includes one custom makeup application with long wearing photo ready foundation, highlight and contouring, blush, false lashes, eyebrow sculpting, eye makeup, and lip color of choice. High end luxury lashes is included at no additional cost to the bride on her wedding day. 

Q: What is included in the Bridesmaid/Mom's /Attendees makeup application?


A:  The bridal party's makeup includes a long-wearing makeup application, natural false eyelashes and lipstick. Having all bridesmaids wear the same makeup look works best for pictures and speeds up the getting ready process.

Q: How long does it take to finish everyone on my wedding day?


A:  We reserve 40-55mins for all bridal parties/attendees. We suggest that the bride gets her makeup done last unless she is doing a first look in which case we would do the first makeup  look and continue with the bridal party while the bride is taking her pictures. we will coordinate this with the event planner and bride prior to the wedding day.

Q: How many makeup artists will I require for my wedding?


A:  Bridal Parties of more than 5 will require an additional makeup artist (s).  There is an additional charge for the artist’s kit, travel, and work. Even for bridal parties that are big but start early, you are welcome to have another makeup artist to expedite  the getting ready process.


Q: Do you offer faux eyelashes (false lashes) application?


A:  False lashes application is included in ALL of our makeup services. (Please note that this is different than eyelash extensions.) our lashes come are good quality and comes in a variety of lengths.  if you are allergic to last glue then please let us know.
